From October 1, 2023, a new form of transit declaration will begin to operate in the Eurasian Economic Union
From October 1, 2023, a new form of transit declaration will begin to operate in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), according to the website of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). It is provided both in traditional, paper and electronic form.

"At the meeting of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission on May 30, a new form of transit declaration and the procedure for filling it out in the form of an electronic document and a paper document were approved," the message says.

According to the EEC Minister for Customs Cooperation Eldar Alisherov, in addition to the electronic format, the new transit declaration contains other simplifications. So, in particular, it is possible to fill it in when transporting goods by two or more modes of transport, as well as use it when moving international mail. According to Eldar Alisherov, this, among other things, will allow for the full implementation of electronic information exchange between the customs authorities of the EAEU states during the transit of goods through the territory of the Union.

The new transit declaration form and the procedure for filling it out will come into force on October 1, 2023.
